After Senator Clinton suspended her campaign on June 5th I started together4Us, with help from so many of you, to give Hillary’s eighteen million voters a platform to express their hopes and desires for her, for us, and for the Democratic Party. Through the last several months there have been as many positions as there have been emotions. We are now in the last weeks of the most important election since the end of World War II and I have decided to enthusiastically endorse John McCain for President.
I believe that we simply cannot afford to have a President who lacks experience; someone who has never crossed party lines in any meaningful ways. In the face of economic turmoil and an increasingly dangerous world, we need someone who is ready to lead, and who has a lifetime of service and judgments we can trust.
John McCain has a long and distinguished record of crossing the aisle and partnering with Democratic colleagues in Congress. Senator McCain’s bipartisan initiatives include immigration reform, global warming legislation, the patients’ bill of rights, and penalties on corporate fraud. Facing significant opposition from his own party, Senator McCain worked with Ted Kennedy in tackling immigration reform and worked with Russ Feingold to take on undue influence in campaign finance. He has partnered with Senator Clinton on legislative issues such as combating child pornography, researching climate change, and requiring background checks for gun purchases. Senator McCain has gained unparalleled praise from his Democratic colleagues. John McCain has often been on our side. He will continue to work with Democrats when he is President.
I know many of you have made different choices, and I respect all of them. If any of you agree with my decision on John McCain, I ask you to please visit John McCain Citizens and help John McCain. Through this site, you can help reach out to other Democrats and solicit them for the McCain/Palin ticket.
It is not appropriate that I control together4Us, a site dedicated to Hillary Clinton, while I am working with the McCain campaign. So I am suspending the site for now. But, I am hoping that someone will emerge to make together4Us a place to engage all of Hillary’s supporters in the future. If you have ideas about a useful role for this site to play, please email me at lynn@together4us.com with your thoughts.
God bless
Much Love

On Saturday, June 7, 2008, Hillary Clinton suspended her historic campaign for President. To her 18 million voters, it may have seemed like an end, but we pledge to make it a beginning… a beginning of a movement to achieve the democratic and just country that Hillary has envisioned for America.
Hillary has spoken out for citizens who are too often invisible – children, the poor, the elderly, the working and middle class. She has spoken out and worked hard for universal health care, a strong economy, a clean planet, a stellar education system, an end to the war in Iraq and a sound foreign policy. She has built a broad and dedicated coalition of supporters and has energized millions of new voters – most notably women.
We stand together with her 18 million voters in pursuit of all of the following:
We are being asked to embrace Party Unity without the fair representation of Hillary Clinton and her 18 million voters. Party Unity requires bilateral action. We ask Barack Obama and the DNC to respond.
Together, we send a message to our Democratic Party, our Party Leaders, and our Elected Officials that we are watching: we are all accountable.
